What is Moyogi form?
The informal upright style is common in both nature and in the art of Bonsai. The trunk grows upright roughly in the shape of a letter ‘S’ and at every turn branching occurs. Tapering of the trunk must be clearly visible, with the base of the trunk thicker than the higher portion
Caring for your Cotoneaster Bonsai cloud
The Cotoneaster needs a lot of water in summer, but it can survive short droughts. Overwatering can cause root rot. Cotoneasters are not demanding in regard of water quality. Bonsai trees are considered living art forms and can be displayed both indoors and outdoors.
During the growing season feed the tree every week with liquid fertilizer such as organic liquid seaweed or our slow release feed.
Young trees can be repotted yearly, in early spring. Older cotoneasters are repotted every two or three years. The roots can be pruned considerably. Use a well-draining standard soil mix. Cotoneasters can tolerate a wide range of pH values between acidic and alkaline.
