Slow Release Olive Feed

How to feed your olive tree

We have created an organic slow-release feed to ensure your olive tree gets the nutrients it requires year long. Each pot contains enough feed for one olive tree per year. Olive trees respond well to a good watering during the summer months, especially if they are grown in a pot. Soak your potted tree so the water gushes out of the bottom of the pot, then start regular soaking March – October. It’s worth noting the wind can dry out pots as much as the Sun, so regular watering is essential all year round. In fact, it’s almost impossible to over water an olive tree!

Are there any alternatives?

In spring you can also feed olive trees with fast release fertilisers such as tomato feed. The combination of regular tomato feeds with slow-release blend will help your olive tree to thrive! We recommend giving the first tomato feed in April, but only after the tree has had a good soaking otherwise the feed will just flush out. So, with tomato feed, remember to soak then feed once a month at least April to October. And, if the cold weather has led to your tree shedding some of its leaves, then soak, prune, and feed.
